Project Overview: The AC-side capacity of the energy storage power station in this project is 100 MW/200 MWh, and it utilizes lithium iron phosphate batteries. The energy storage system adopts a prefabricated container-based outdoor layout, featuring 31 energy storage units, each with a capacity of 3.125 MW/6.3 MWh. In total, the project includes 62 prefabricated battery container units and 31 integrated sets comprising PCS and step-up transformers. Upon completion, this energy storage power station will significantly enhance the grid’s ability to accommodate renewable energy sources, reduce instances of wind and solar power curtailment during low-demand periods, and create favorable conditions for the vigorous development of renewable energy. Moreover, this energy storage power station can fully leverage its role in regional coordination and resource sharing, effectively promoting the development of new energy projects within the region and contributing to the construction of Hunan’s new power system.
